Presentation of the Jita Kyo Ei sans roro 2024 event, yesterday in Mahamasina.

An eight-year-old boy, who lives in the capital, is the youngest person tested positive for HIV among the thousand five hundred and eighty people supported by the Ainga Aides association. Taking injecting drugs contributed to the spread of HIV in this little boy. According to information communicated by Ando Rakotomalala, technical manager within this association, during a meeting with the press yesterday at the Mahamasina Sports Palace. Indeed, injecting drugs using syringes constitutes a very rapid mode of transmission of HIV.

However, this organization adopts strategies to combat and reduce injecting drug use. The main thing is to find ways to reduce the number of drug sellers. “In addition, we have developed other methods to stop the transmission of HIV by injection,” continues Ando Rakotomalala.

To mark World AIDS Day, the Jita Kyo Ei sans roro 2024 event will be held this Sunday. On this occasion, an anti-roro and anti-HIV awareness campaign is planned, according to information.

Thank you Ida
