Vieux Aïdara, former journalist and member of the communications department of Pastef, reacted strongly to an article from The Observer headlined by: “The return to favor of a former fugitive”.
In a scathing pamphlet, Aidara Karara denounces what he considers to be a defamation campaign, rejecting the accusations linked to his conviction by the Crei in 2015. He claims to have never embezzled public money and severely criticizes the press group GFM, in particular its boss, Youssou Ndour.
Aïdara claims his dignity and integrity, recalling that he refused to betray Karim Wade in 2012, despite pressure. Now he is promising a head-on confrontation with his detractors, declaring that the time for media manipulation is over. His sharp response warns the GFM group: “Gatsa Gatsa” will be its course of action.
