This agreement, which is not intended to be made public, stipulates that its stronghold of South Lebanon – between the Litani River and the Israeli border – must be free of armed non-state actors. During the sixty days of its application, Hezbollah fighters must therefore withdraw in favor of the Lebanese armed forces. « Hezbollah will fully cooperate with the army for its deployment in the South »Hassan Fadlallah, a deputy from the Shiite movement, assured AFP on Wednesday. But he added that its members are « children » villages in the South, from where « person » cannot drive them away, a fog which will displease Israel.
