Foreign trade: Souss-massa on the front line to boost exports
Foreign trade: Souss-massa on the front line to boost exports

The first regional consultation meeting dedicated to the development of the 2025-2026 foreign trade roadmap was held Tuesday in Agadir. This initiative aims to collect contributions from local economic actors in order to accelerate Moroccan exports and strengthen the international presence of national products.

During this meeting, Omar Hjira, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, praised the potential of Souss Massa, particularly in sectors such as agri-food, shipbuilding and seafood processing. This consultation marks the start of a participatory approach involving all regions.

The wali of Souss Massa and the president of the Regional Council reaffirmed the importance of industry and foreign trade in local development plans. The discussions highlighted regional strengths and challenges to shape a coherent framework promoting balanced and sustainable foreign trade.
