The first snowfall of the year in Quebec surprised several motorists Tuesday afternoon, causing several road trips in a short time.
Two accidents occurred on the road network of the Old Capital in a few minutes, shortly after 1 p.m., according to Quebec 511.

Highway 40 East, near Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, and Highway Laurentienne South, near Boulevard du Lac, are particularly obstructed.

Other collisions occurred in Scott, Bellechasse and Sainte-Marie in the last hour.
The slippery road surface could be the cause of these road exits.
The Sûreté du Québec assures that there are no serious injuries at the moment, but invites motorists to exercise caution.
