According to our sources, this is Jahmal Emilus Dorcelus.

The 19-year-old man died at the scene of the tragedy, which took place around 6 a.m. on Highway 15 southbound, near the exit 136 ramp.

A delivery man from Boulangerie Le Petit Breton was doing his usual rounds when two vehicles driving at high speed appeared behind him.

They were “driving like crazy,” says Corin Ceban, the bakery’s co-owner, whose employee, who is “still in shock,” “is always calm, always collected behind the wheel.”

“At one point, I didn’t even understand what happened. It was that fast,” he reportedly told her.

Hell

One of the vehicles managed to continue on its way, while the other suffered a violent impact with the heavy goods vehicle.

Two passengers were injured: Jahmal Emilus Dorcelus had no chance and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A 19-year-old man died at the scene of a hit-and-run incident that occurred around 6 a.m. on Highway 15 southbound, near the exit 136 ramp, on June 30, 2024. The driver of a bakery delivery truck was involved in the collision, despite himself.

“What happened is stupid, it’s hell,” says Corin Ceban.

The driver of the Mercedes C-43 is said to have driven away before emergency services arrived. Surveillance cameras reportedly captured him in the act of hit-and-run on foot.

Found further away

Another Mercedes was found about a hundred metres further on, also damaged in the accident.

No one was on board when first responders arrived.

According to TVA Nouvelles, items used to steal cars were found inside.

The major crimes division of the Sûreté du Québec is treating the case as a hit and run.

The provincial police have declined to say whether anyone is being sought. However, several witnesses have been interviewed.
