July 1st in Quebec is Moving Day, the day NHL free agents sign outside Montreal, and Canada Day. It’s up to you to establish your order of priority.
In the NHL, this is the day the 2024-2025 season begins. Several contracts are ending (both among players and managers, as in the case of Ken Holland) and this opens the door to new errors agreements.
At the Canadiens, for example, we notice that Karl Alzner, Joel Edmundson, Chris Wideman, Tanner Pearson, Jesse Ylönen and company are no longer on the payroll of the Canadian. These are all players who affected the payroll last year.
