Davide Buzziborn in 1968 in Acquarossa, Ticino, has exercised different roles throughout his career: musician, singer, composer, author, but also actor, screenwriter, photographer and more – such as member of the editorial board of the monthly Blenio’s voice. His songs, composed in Italian or in the Ticino dialect, often address social or historical themes. With five albums to his credit, Buzzi has also composed songs for Italian, American and Australian performers – sometimes under a pseudonym. He has published four novels (latest titles opposite. The summer of Achilles was presented at the Premio Strega 2023.
Célia Mercierborn in 2001 in France, translated from Italian, English and Spanish. She is training in conference interpreting at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Geneva (FTI). In 2023, she deepened her practice of literary translation under the supervision of Lise Chapuis, thanks to the mentoring offered by the Looren College of Translators as part of the FTI internships.
