Afric Industries’ sales recorded a decline of 6% in the third quarter of 2024, reaching 13.081 million dirhams (MDH), according to quarterly indicators published by the company. This decline is mainly attributed to a drop in sales in export markets.
However, over the first nine months of the year, cumulative sales increased slightly by 1%, reaching 32.934 MDH compared to 32.691 MDH during the same period in 2023, demonstrating a certain resilience on the local market.
The company’s investments saw a significant drop, going from 1.147 million dirhams in Q3-2023 to only 73,000 dirhams in Q3-2024, devoted mainly to improving security equipment and renewing computer equipment.
Furthermore, the company’s cash flow improved, showing a debit balance reduced to -144,000 dirhams in Q3-2024, compared to -2.81 MDH a year earlier. This progress is attributed to better management of customer payments thanks to the new law on payment deadlines.
