From the beginning of December, festive lighting will illuminate the city center, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that will delight young and old. This luminous route, designed to harmoniously connect the top and bottom of the city center, will transform the heart of Nyon into an enchanting setting.
From December 3 to 12, festivities in the neighborhoods
IllumiNyon will be back to ignite and warm up the Peace, Cossy and Stand districts, Place Bel-Air and the Jardin de la Duche. Shows combining fire and shadow, candles and braziers will make these places vibrate. The Redoute district will also host a big party with a procession of lanterns, musical and dancing performances, as well as a free buffet.
Events planned in the neighborhoods:

- Friday December 6 : neighborhood party at La Redoute, from 5 p.m.;

From December 12 to 15, Christmas village and flea markets in Rive
The Christmas village will be set up on rue de Rive, between places du Molard and places de Savoie, for four days of activities and festivities. Visitors will be able to enjoy concerts, discover artisanal and local products or even hunt at the Christmas flea market (Sunday December 15). Many activities for children are also planned, such as shows, carousels, makeup and craft stands, little train rides and St. Nicholas Day.

From December 12 to 22, festivities in the city center
From Thursday December 12 to Monday December 22, Place Bel-Air will host a large dome for gathering around a drink in a warm and festive atmosphere, bar and restaurant areas and a carousel.
Merchants and producers will also offer their local products at Place St-Martin and Rue de la Gare:
- Tuesday December 17from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
- Wednesday December 18from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.;
- Thursday December 19from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.;
- Friday December 20from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.;
- Sunday December 22from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The city center will come alive with various events spread between Places Bel-Air, Saint-Martin and the adjacent streets.
- Wednesday December 18. From 5 p.m., IllumiNyon will light up Place Bel-Air with fire shows, a Gospel concert and activities for children. Glass offered by the Municipality.
- Thursday December 19. From 5 p.m., obstacle course for children between Place du Château and Place Bel-Air, with music throughout the course (no registration required). Face painting, magic show, musical strolls and the presence of Santa Claus will complete this lively evening. DJ set with the Collective Club Katel from 8 p.m. to extend the party.
- Friday December 20. At 7 p.m., open-air screening of the film Maman, I missed the plane (1h43, from 7 years old, French version) on Place Bel-Air (under the dome in case of bad weather), followed by an evening karaoke in partnership with Visions du Réel. At 6 p.m., the Ensemble Chorale de la Côte will give a concert. Various musical entertainment in addition.
- Saturday December 21. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., ethical craft market organized by the Bubble Ethic collective at Place Bel-Air. At 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., circus shows wandering through the city center by L’Elastique Citrique. Grande Silent Disco at 9 p.m. at Place du Château in collaboration with Usine à Gaz, with the castle lit up for the occasion.
- Sunday December 22. From 3 p.m., afternoon for children with storytelling, pony rides and distribution of gifts by Santa Claus at Place Bel-Air and Place St-Martin.

Stands and events in city center businesses
Nyon’s businesses will instill the festive spirit by livening up the city center with stands selling local products and artisanal creations, Saturday 14, Thursday 19, Friday 20 and Saturday 21 December. These stands will mainly be set up on Rue Perdtemps and Rue Neuve, but will occasionally occupy other locations in the city center. Musical entertainment and other surprises will add an extra festive touch to the shopping streets of the city center.
Night breaks and opening of family businesses
To prolong the festive atmosphere, Nyon’s shops will remain open at night until 10 p.m. on Thursday December 19 and Friday December 20.
Family businesses will also be able to open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sundays December 15 and 22.
Free public transport on late nights
To allow everyone to fully enjoy the festivities, the City of Nyon is offering free travel on TPN urban lines (803, 804 and 805) from 4 p.m. until the end of the service, late-night evenings on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 December.
Operation Sapin Solidaire at Place Bel-Air
From December 6 to 18Place Bel-Air will host Operation Sapin Solidaire, organized by volunteers from the parish of Nyon–Crans–Prangins. In a spirit of discretion and solidarity, these volunteers will collect Christmas wishes from disadvantaged children in Nyon and the surrounding area. Each wish will be written on a card which will then be hung on a branch of a Solidarity Fir. People wishing to make a gesture of generosity are invited to take a card, buy the gift indicated (with a maximum value of 40 francs), then give it to the Sapin Solidaire team.
