Products manufactured and designed in Quebec will be easier to locate at five new retailers, namely Familiprix, Mondou, l’Aubainerie, Toys “R” Us and Signé Local, thanks to a partnership with the certification body Les Produits du Québec.

“By making it easier to identify local non-food products, whether in store or online, these new partners respond to consumers’ growing need for transparency,” the organization said in a statement. press release.
Several other brands are already joining the movement, notably in the world of hardware stores (Canac, Canadian Tire, BMR), furniture (Tanguay, Matelas Bonheur, JC Perreault), pharmacies (Jean Coutu, Brunet) and even clothing (La Vie in Pink, Mouse Mini). Walmart and Amazon are also on the list.
The certification has existed since 2022 and specializes in identifying the origin of non-food products. By way of comparison, the Aliments du Québec identification label has existed for around thirty years.
Les Produits du Québec has granted one of its three certification brands (Product of Quebec, Made in Quebec and Designed in Quebec) to 187 companies and nearly 93,000 verified products.
The logos can be found directly on the products, or even on the shelves of retailers. Some also indicate them in their promotional material, for example their circulars or their websites.
