The Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix this year rewarded 21 timepieces and 17 brands, during a ceremony chaired this year by actress Carole Bouquet. The Grand Prix de l’Aiguille d’Or, the most prestigious award, went to IWC Schaffhausen for its Portugieser Eternal Calendar model, the “most precise moon phase wristwatch in the world”.
The competition was tough and the choice was difficult, this year again, with a pre-selection of 90 watches developed by 57 brands.
The expert panel of the GPHG (Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix) has once again decided as it has done since 2001, the date of its creation.
His choice was thus revealed with great fanfare during the prestigious awards ceremony of the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG), on November 13, presented this year by the very elegant French actress Carole Bouquet.
21 prix were awarded, rewarding 17 marqueseither Berneron, Bernhard Lederer, Bovet 1822, Chopard, Daniel Roth, De Bethune, H. Moser & Cie, Kudoke, Laurent Ferrier, IWC Schaffhausen, Massena Lab, Ming, Otsuka Lotec, Piaget, Rémy Cools, Van Cleef & Arpels et Voutilainen.
Entry into the Guinness World Records
The most anticipated was obviously the Grand Prix de l’Aiguille d’Orawarded this year to IWC Schaffhausen for its high complication model Portugieser Eternal Calendaror not less than the “world’s most precise moon phase wristwatch”.
