With the aim of contributing to the democratization of young people’s access to art and promoting their cultural development, the Fondation Al Madaaccompanied byAttijariwafa bank et inwisealed a partnership agreement with Le Ministry of National EducationPreschool and Sports.
This partnership is built around a common vision and a shared commitment between the two partners to offer broader access and a unique educational experience to students in public schools.
Inspired by the Academy of Arts program, initiated in 2009 by the Attijariwafa bank Foundation in Casablanca, partners are joining forces to deploy this successful model on a larger scale in the regions. Since its creation, this innovative program has supported nearly 2,000 students in the fields of visual arts and multimedia.
This collaboration will therefore make it possible to extend the positive impact of this program by creating a sector of excellence for young people, in line with current developments in the visual arts.
The program was effectively launched at the start of the 2024/2025 school year through the opening of several pilot classes within two sites: at the Villa des Arts in Rabat, a pioneer in the promotion and democratization of Arts and Culture , and within the Center for artistic development of Tangier under theRegional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) from Tangier.
“These spaces, completely reinvented to meet the expectations of the beneficiary students, welcome nearly 300 young people, aged 15 to 21, benefiting from a unique and innovative educational approach carried out by seasoned professional supervisors,” we indicate in a press release. .
Designed by the Al Mada Foundation, and implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, this approach is based on project-based pedagogy, integrating contemporary disciplines, notably digital arts. Young people will also have access to a broad development system, notably through cultural outings and immersive masterclasses for complete acculturation to the artistic world.
“This regional deployment constitutes a decisive step for the Arts Academy program, strengthening its positive impact through support for creativity, innovation and the openness of young people to the artistic sector and the future opportunities it offers” , adds the same source.
