It was municipal employees responsible for maintaining the Île-de-la-Visitation nature park who made the macabre discovery, two weeks ago, in this place frequented by families and outdoor enthusiasts. .

The autopsy carried out on the body confirmed beyond any doubt that it is indeed the remains of the young 25-year-old cryptocurrency expert.
Kevin Mirshahi was returning from an evening spent in bars when he was kidnapped with his three friends – two women and a man – by a group of hooded suspects on the night of June 21, in the interior parking lot of a building in condos in Old Montreal.

The day after the quadruple kidnapping, three of the four victims were found safe and sound in the west of the metropolis, after having been abandoned on the side of the street by the kidnappers. Only Kevin Mirshahi was still missing.
A vehicle believed to have been used by the kidnappers was found burned in a wealthy neighborhood of Laval, a few hours after the events.

To date, only one woman has been arrested for the crime. This is Joanie Lepage, 32 years old, a resident of Les Cèdres, in Montérégie.
