The Oppo Find N5 could get some significant improvements when it arrives next year. From the improved design to magnetic wireless charging, it could be a contender for the title of best foldable smartphone of 2025.

The anticipation for the Oppo Find N5 (and OnePlus Open 2) is quite high considering Oppo’s decision not to launch it this year. Oppo has reportedly made the Find N5 thinner and lighter. As a reminder, the Find N3 has a thickness of 5.8mm and 11.7mm when unfolded and folded respectively. It also weighs 245g (239g for the leather back variant). Will the Find N5 be able to beat the Honor Magic V3 (4.4 mm unfolded and 9.3 mm folded)?

A more interesting feature revealed by the leaker is that the Oppo Find N5 will be compatible with Oppo’s magnetic wireless charging ecosystem like the Find X8 series. It will also work with Apple MagSafe accessories. This is a big step forward, considering the Find N3 doesn’t support wireless charging. Finally, Oppo’s next foldable phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Snapdragon 8 Elite.

All the features of the Find N5 mentioned above should be found on the OnePlus Open 2 since the latter should be a rebadge/international version of the Find N5.
