At 80, Sylvie Vartan is about to say goodbye to the stage with an exceptional tour. After decades spent between the United States and , the singer is seriously considering a definitive return to the country where she grew up. Sylvie Vartan is preparing to bow out with a final tour. This series of concerts marks the end of a career spanning more than five decades, where the icon captured the hearts of French and international audiences. This last turn on stage, thought of as a way of thanking the most loyal, offers her fans the opportunity to see her for one last time in the light because after that, Sylvie Vartan will choose to move away from the world of entertainment and this is not trivial. It marks a desire to turn an important page in her life, after decades of travel and shows which punctuated her daily life and made her a legend. “When I started, I never thought I would sing until I was 80“, she confides with emotion. “It's time to calm down, savor what I've accomplished.”

A choice to get closer to those she loves

The Bulgarian-French singer explains that this departure is also motivated by personal priorities which have evolved over the years. Today, the singer wants to devote more time to her family, and in particular to his great-grandson Harrisonwhich she hopes to see grow and support further: “I rarely see him unfortunately, I hope to see him much more often, because the years go by. I need to have children around me, I like that…”, she explains. After so many years spent in the spotlight, this need to return to his roots becomes essential for the artist. She confided to Parisian that this choice is thoughtful, taking into account his desire to get closer to your loved ones and to enjoy these precious moments that have often escaped him.

For her latest tour, which begins at the Dôme de before a series of concerts at the Palais des Congrès in January, Sylvie Vartan has chosen to open up like never before. She admitted feeling particular anxiety for this show which retraces the key moments of her life: “It's a particular spectacle that scares me a little, I'm very emotional and just thinking about itit makes my eyes shine”, she confides. On this occasion, she will also share the stage with her son, David Hallyday, for new duets. A performance that already promises to be very moving!
