Tract-He was one of the loudest voices of the new Senegalese opposition, Adji Mbergane Kanouté has just joined the list of the presidential movement for the Legislatives.

Secretary general of the Union for the Development of Authentic Senegal (UDS/A), the former vice-president of Benno Bokk Yakaar’s parliamentary group in the National Assembly facilitated her party’s membership in Pastef, according to Seneweb.

“The Executive Secretariat of the Union for the Development of Authentic Senegal (UDS/A) met this Thursday, November 7 at its headquarters, under the co-chairmanship of Mr. Amadou Oumar Gueye, deputy secretary general of the party and Mr. . Abdoulaye Diop, president of the party’s elders. This supreme body of the party decided, after broad consultations with the base, to support the Pastef list for the legislative elections of November 17, 2024. A decision which follows a meeting with Dean Alla Kane, president of Maggi Pastef, invested to an honorable and honorary place on the list headed by the president of Pastef Ousmane Sonko.

Exchanges facilitated by the high esteem of Secretary General Adji Diarra Mergane towards Dean Alla Kane,” we read in the said UDS/A press release.

According to the tenors of the UDS/A, Dean Alla Kane “deserves unreserved support for representing the people he has never stopped defending”. “Consequently, the Union for the Development of Senegal/Authentique invites activists and sympathizers at the national and international level to commit to the triumph of the Pastef list, in order to enable the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye , to govern comfortably in its desire to promote a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal,” adds the press release signed by the deputy secretary general, Amadou Oumar Guéye.

As a reminder, Adji Mbergane Kanouté was placed in 24th place on the proportional list of the Takku Wallu coalition, led by former president Macky Sall.
