Ousmane Sonko never misses an opportunity to throw barbs at Amadou Ba. During a meeting in Kolda yesterday Saturday, the leader of Pastef affirmed that the latter had done nothing for the city and had reserved all the hotels.

“We wanted to spend the night in Kolda, but we were told that Amadou Ba has booked all the hotels. If he comes here, ask him what he did for this country during all the time he was in power,” declared Pastef’s national list leader during his meeting in Kolda.

The response from the “Jàam ak Njariñ” coalition was quick. Oumar Sow, member of the coalition, indicated that Ousmane Sonko’s statement is false.

“Ousmane Sonko, as usual, demonstrates lies and manipulation. His statement yesterday, claiming that the Jàam ak Njariñ coalition with President Amadou Ba had reserved all the hotels in Kolda, is totally false,” said Oumar Sow, member of “Jàam ak Njariñ”.

“Our delegation arrived around 4 a.m. in Kolda and stayed at the Relais hotel, shared with other guests of the establishment. Some people in our group even had to sleep in their cars. In Kolda there are many hotels. It is therefore false to claim that President Amadou Ba had reserved all the hotels in the region,” he said.

“What would be the use of that?” We are in the campaign, and everyone must present their vision and program with dignity, rather than making fallacious declarations. Ousmane Sonko is therefore still in the manipulation,” concluded the former minister advisor to Macky Sall.
