Lamine Diène is a Senegalese political activist, active member of the Sàmm Sa Kàddu coalition, and coordinator in Dakar of the Les Serviteurs movement, led by MP Pape Djibril Fall. His political commitment is fueled by a deep desire to serve the Senegalese nation, which he places above all other considerations.
Of Lebou origin and native of Dakar, Diène trained as a refrigeration technician at the Maurice Delafosse school, before perfecting her skills in Canada. An entrepreneur and trainer in his field, he returned to Senegal to put his expertise at the service of the country, thus symbolizing his desire to actively contribute to national development.
For Lamine Diène, politics is not a field of personal ambitions, but a space to address and resolve the real concerns of the Senegalese. He defends a political vision imbued with maturity and responsibility, where the interests of the nation take precedence. According to him, a deputy must aspire to represent “the voice of the voiceless”, a role that he considers essential and that he sees embodied by the leaders of his coalition, Sàmm Sa Kàddu.
Although his position in this coalition would have allowed him to run in the legislative elections of November 2024, Diène chose not to appear on the list of candidates. He instead wishes to concentrate his efforts on the upcoming local elections in the commune of Patte d’Oie, in order to act more directly and effectively within his community.
