Previously, WhatsApp introduced a chat filter feature that allows users to classify certain chats and groups as favorites. This feature is now more advanced with the new Custom Lists feature.
The new feature allows users to categorize individual and group chats according to different categories. For example, users can add a list of family, work, friends, etc. Lists are easily accessible via the filter bar.
To add a new list, users need to tap the “+” icon located in the filter bar. Lists can be edited by long-pressing them.
With the Custom Lists feature, WhatsApp will be able to filter chats effectively and access them faster when needed. Additionally, WhatsApp’s user interface will appear less cluttered. This feature is currently rolling out and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
