Sound Energy et Getech will conduct a regional study to identify promising areas for exploration ofhydrogen and thehélium au Morocco. Getech will leverage its gravity and magnetic database, its advanced geoscience platform Globe™, as well as its machine learning algorithms to identify potential sites at Morocconoted Sound Energy in a press release. For its part, the British company will bring its local expertise, acquired as the main holder of exploration permit in the country.
The two companies aim to negotiate exclusive rights to explore and exploit these resources, moving towards geophysical studies and forages to confirm potential deposits. Sound Energy will bear its own costs under this agreement.
John Argentvice president of geoscience at Sound Energy, said this agreement marks an important step in the company’s strategy to explore new transitional energy resources in Morocco.
For this part, Richard BennettCEO of Getech, added that their geoscience and artificial intelligence tools will play a crucial role in making exploration more profitable in this promising region.
