Alexia Laroche-Joubert talks about her only regret regarding Loana in Loft Story

Wednesday October 16, in C to you on 5, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine received Alexia Laroche-Joubert to talk about the release of Worshipthe series retracing the phenomenon Loft Story. The opportunity for the producer to look back on her biggest regret at the time of broadcasting reality on M6.

This Friday, October 18, the series is released on Prime Video Worship which traces the phenomenon Loft Story. To talk about it, Alexia Laroche-Joubert chose the platter of C to youthe show presented from Monday to Friday by Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine on France 5. At the time, the current producer was a young project manager. “It’s complicated to produce something in which you are yourselves (…) The deal I got was that I told them (the producers, editor’s note): ‘I’m telling you everything I experienced during that period (…) on the other hand, you are free to do with it what you want'”, she explained behind the scenes of this project eagerly awaited by all those who watched Loft Story in the early 2000s.

Loft Story : this secret that production discovered about Loana and which “had serious consequences

Following the interview, Mohamed Bouhafsi returned to an event that occurred during season 1 of Loft Story, in 2001. Fightstar of the program and big winner alongside Christophe, had hidden from production that she had a child. “This revelation had serious consequences. On the advice of production, Loana gave an interview to Match at the time, except that the newspaper also obtained via Loana’s mother a photo of the loft owner and her baby, a photo which ended up on the cover of the magazine without the loana agreement. For the first time, you said to yourself at the time that you felt things were slipping away from you, and I understand that this is one of your only regrets, if not the only one?” asked the columnist to Alexia Laroche-Joubert.

Loana didn’t want anyone to know that she had this kind of motherhood…

To which the main interested party replied: “It was a very violent moment because… There is a word that is a bit fashionable, it is the principle of consent. All the loft owners were willing, we were willing to produce the show, M6 was willing to broadcast it. The only one who didn’t agree to find herself on the front page of the media was this little baby, who suddenly found herself embroiled in a story that was bigger than her.and which probably marked her. Loana didn’t want anyone to know that she had this motherhood, a motherhood that is complex. I said to myself: ‘There’s something we’re missing.’ We couldn’t do anything, we didn’t know, it was going to come out in the press, we couldn’t do anything.
