Artus launches a “A little something extra” foundation to create inclusive holiday centers

CINEMA – After a film, the holiday centers of the same name. Building on the historic success of his film A little something extraArtus announced this Tuesday, October 8 that it wanted to create a foundation to continue its commitment to people with disabilities.

“I’m building my foundation. I would like there to be able-bodied young people with young people with disabilities, because I think that the more we are mixed, the more commonplace it will become”he continued.

PArtus’ first film as director of Artus, Un p’tit truc en plus claims to laugh with disabled people and not at their expense. Around ten amateur actors with disabilities respond to the professional cast (Clovis Cornillac, Artus, Alice Belaïdi); all in the middle of a summer camp for young people with mental disabilities.

Artus wants centers with “a real Club Med side”

The director of the ninth most viewed film in the history of French cinema (around 11 million spectators since May) has indicated that he is looking for accessible premises. “We are already looking for locations. Afterwards, there will be work (…) I would like it to go quickly. I want there to be a real Club Med, luxury hotel feel,” detailed Artus who also knows what he doesn’t want. “I want us to stop rhyming the medicalized with the creepy,” he added.

Then speaking in the Senate, the actor joked about the fact that Minister Charlotte Parmentier-Lecocq was appointed a few days after the other ministers following a controversy lasting several days. Disability, “we have trivialized it since we even forget to appoint ministers to this position! So, we’re on the right path.” he smiled in front of the minister.
