Political messages during the Eurovision Song Contest are actually banned, but organizers are not always successful in preventing them.

On Tuesday, Swedish singer Eric Saade also made a statement during the opening act by performing with a Palestinian scarf on his wrist. Irish artist Bambie Thug also wanted to make a statement in support of the victims of the war in the Gaza Strip, but was whistled back.
Mustii had previously declared that he would not boycott the Eurovision Song Contest, but would prefer to “bring a message of hope and love”. He did so Thursday with the word “peace” on his arm, which he only revealed later by baring his shoulders.
Previously, there was eager anticipation to see how the public would react to Israel’s entry into the fray. Singer Eden Golan was greeted with boos during the dress rehearsal, but that was not the case in the semi-final.

The applause was even loud, even during the song. On X, however, there is talk of “fake applause”, but this information has not been officially confirmed.
