With no fewer than 115 paintings on display, Mounia transports us into a universe where art, nature and contemporary reflection intertwine harmoniously. Focusing primarily on paper, collected during inspiring travels around the world, the artist creates an unforgettable visual experience.

+ Symbiosis between art, nature and the preservation of literary heritage +

At the heart of this exhibition are mushrooms, not only as decorative elements, but above all as essential narrative symbols. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, these mushrooms have become a powerful metaphor, representing both the complexity of the global situation and the duality of human nature.

Each painting in this exhibition offers an insight into the different phases of Mounia Boutaleb’s artistic reflection. Representations of mushrooms invite viewers to explore the multiple layers of hidden meaning, while provoking deep reflection on our human condition in the face of contemporary challenges.

“Under the Hat” also celebrates the symbiosis between art, nature and the preservation of literary heritage. By giving new life to abandoned books and papers, Mounia pays homage to these treasures of the past while reinventing them as a canvas for her artistic representations.

This exhibition embodies a harmonious fusion of past and present, questioning our relationship with technology while celebrating the timeless beauty of nature. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to discover the fascinating world of Mounia Boutaleb in Marrakech.

+ A rich and varied journey +

Mounia Boutaleb is not her first exhibition. Recognized in Morocco and abroad, the Moroccan painter continues to seduce art lovers, particularly abstract painting.

In July 2017, Mounia won the coveted José Diaz Fuentes Prize during the 9th Sarria Biennale (International Art Fair in Spain), while she was in competition with 80 painters, from 23 different countries, and more than 200 paintings.

According to Anne-Michelle Vrillet, French painter and President of the International Association of Artists (AAC): “Mounia Boutaleb is a methodical and positivist artist. His works are the result of constantly evolving thematic research.

His abstract paintings reveal the existence of invisible and unknown realities, those of the complexity of human relationships: joy, friendship, love, happiness, hope, difference, tolerance, passion or diversity …of man’s relationship to freedom. »
