POLITICS – It is not the “ Battle of the Titans “, but the clash of parliamentarians. The head of the LR list in the European elections, François-Xavier Bellamy and the LFI deputy Louis Boyard had a heated exchange this Tuesday, May 7 in front of Sciences Po Paris, once again blocked by pro-Palestinian rallies.

“The French people are not complicit with those who support Hamas today, with those who excuse the worst”launched the LR MEP to the address of the LFI deputy. “I came here to be the voice of all the students who do not want to see Sciences Po reduced to these permanent blockages, to this permanent exploitation, to this pharmacy of La France insoumise that rue Saint-Guillaume has become,” he added.

“You go from pretext to pretext every time to never talk about the fact that there is a genocide in Gaza”, retorted Louis Boyard. “ These students are asking for peace, a ceasefire and you come to insult them, say anything » he said in front of the right-wing candidate, while the scene turned into a dialogue of the deaf.

The leader of the LR list also posted the video of the sequence on his X account (ex-Twitter), as well as the following message: “ That’s enough. We must no longer cede an inch of ground to those who sow chaos. I came here to say that Sciences Po, that our lecture halls, will never belong to the extreme left which betrays all the values of the French people “.
