Senegal: Ousmane Sonko launches a regional and international tour campaign for Pastef

Pastef, (African Patriots of Senegal for work, ethics and fraternity) under the leadership of Ousmane Sonko, is planning a tour very soon in the member countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) as well as in Guinea Conakry. This announcement was made following a meeting within party authorities on Sunday May 5, 2024.

We chaired the first meeting of the party’s Political Bureau, after more than a year of interruption beyond our control. We give thanks to the Lord and ardently thank the Senegalese people for the provisional outcome of our struggle, with the election of Brother Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye to the supreme office of our Republic.

Our real struggle has just begun: that of the liberation of the Senegalese people through the success of our fight for sovereignty, good governance and the fair and equitable redistribution of our wealth. PASTEF will be the spearhead of this new episode of our common adventure. All I can promise you is that we will succeed, inshallah.

We will resume and relaunch our political activities through the reorganization, restructuring and revitalization of the party, with the aim of organizing its first Congress in a few months. To this end, we are planning a tour at the invitation of our partners, which should start with stops in Guinea Conakry, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. Under this chapter, we will welcome in Dakar, from May 14 to 18, 2024, a delegation of French Insoumis, made up of elected officials and led by Mr. Jean Luc Mélenchon.
