DECRYPTION – The Biden Administration is ready to support an Israeli response against Tehran, while once again trying to avoid the conflagration of the entire Middle East.
Washington sees the regional war approaching that the Biden Administration has been trying to avoid for months. After the Iranian attack on Israel, the second since April, the White House stopped calling for a ceasefire, and is now seeking to manage the Israeli response. The American president was to speak with Netanyahu on Wednesday about its nature and scale. The United States has already indicated that it supports a response, but believes it must be measured. Joe Biden has made it known that he opposes strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
