Belgian Minister of Justice, Paul Van Tigchelt was the guest of a podcast in Flemish entitled “Talks with Charly”. And the elected Open Vld, a liberal party, outraged the man who interviewed him, Charly Badibanga.
The latter returned to a proposal from the far-right Vlaams Belang party, which wants to put an end to all immigration. Does the show’s guest politician think an end to immigration is possible? “Of course not. “It is neither necessary nor desirable,” he replied.

“Remove immigration and our economy stops,” the Belgian minister then continued, saying “sorry for having expressed myself badly.”
Paul Van Tigchelt finished by citing Belgians of foreign origin who, according to him, show “the wealth of immigration”: the directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and the footballers Marouane Fellaini and Vincent Kompany.
