“Extremely serious facts.” At the time of his indictment in the Charmilles case, this Wednesday, prosecutor Frédéric Scheidegger immediately pointed out the brutality and impulsiveness of young Goran*, the perpetrator of the two stab wounds inflicted in a garage during a trivial argument. “In the space of a few minutes, one of the victims ended up in a coffin and the other in hospital.” The Public Prosecutor’s Office paints an uncompromising portrait of this boy. Violent, manipulative, a liar, incapable of empathy. “Even his regrets are centered on himself. He is abysmally cold.” Due to a high risk of reoffending, linked to a psychopathic profile, the prosecution requested a measure of internment, in addition to a custodial sentence of 18 years.

Drunkenness, amnesia or even carrying a knife to protect himself? The prosecutor does not believe in this “sort of murderer in spite of himself”. Strangely, Goran only remembers what he did not want to do on January 19, 2019, the prosecution points out. And Frédéric Scheidegger darkens the image of the perfect child painted the day before by his parents. “At the age of 2, he was followed for violence against his little sister. At 7, he was impulsive and quarrelsome. In cycle, he had a bad reputation.” Not to mention the four convictions handed down by the Juvenile Court, including the one relating to the terrible attack in Saint-Jean.
