On February 29, 2024, the Court of Audit presented its first report to the Alkmaar municipal council, focusing on the digital security agenda. The council adopted two recommendations: investing in its own knowledge of digital security and ensuring regular information provision to the council.

Although artificial intelligence or AI was briefly discussed during a council information meeting in 2024, there was no actual follow-up. An information evening on May 14 and training from the registry should change this.

A second report followed on November 20, 2024, Between rules and reasonableness, about licensing at events. This topic will be discussed in the council in January 2025.
