-In 2005, Marc-André Fortin revisited Do you love me for the album of Star Academy, in addition to aligning it through the pieces of his first eponymous album released in 2007.
He does it again two decades later because the song is for him “a symbol of nostalgia and pride”.
“To resume Do you love me is a privilege and a responsibility. It is a song that marked our collective history. Re-recording it 20 years later is a real gift. I wanted to set it to music in a minimalist way in order to highlight all the strength and vulnerability of its text. I hope that my version can touch people as much as it touched me,” Marc-André Fortin said Monday in a press release, specifying that all platforms welcome this new version.
