Mario Pelchat was part of the documentary Roch Voisine: The ascentwhich highlights Roch’s career in a very entertaining and touching way.
During a segment of this TV project, Pelchat talked about their rivalry at the time, at least the one that some people created.
“Roch and I arrived almost in the same years. I was a few years ahead of him, but when he arrived, he passed me like a Ferrari. And we felt like… in the media especially, that there was a huge competition between the two of us. This competition was created by the media, but also by the teams with whom we worked respectively. Whereas we are nothing but two artists who just want to have fun and sing, to make music. Ultimately, it turned out that we had a lot more in common than we could have imagined,” revealed Mario, who was obviously not in competition with Roch.
