“At least 170 concerts per tour”

Wanting to take a break to no longer have to endure the pressure, Patricia Kaas said he saw a psy « for four months » before living a “normal” life for several years: “ I spent my days doing nothing. I was really pissed off but I liked it! I read a little, I listened to music “. For the artist, this burn-out is due to exhaustion and the feeling of going in circles: “ When you feel like you’re going to the office and doing the same thing every day, it becomes more difficult to keep up. On stage, it’s difficult to cheat. I performed at least 170 concerts per tour. And when you get to the 80th, 90th date, you can’t say that after that, every night, it’s different ».

And the singer opens up about her hellish daily life on tour, she who has given 1,700 concerts since the start of her career: “ You live with a suitcase all the time. It weighed on me. As soon as you arrive in a country, you have to open your suitcase. Everything is crumpled but you have to hold a press conference 30 minutes after you arrive. You have to put on makeup and do your hair very quickly. When you’re 20, 25, 30, it’s fun. But later, when you start to get a little hollow and exhausted and you see yourself in photos, you’re like, “Damn, did I make all that to look like that?” “. The opportunity also for her to rant about the differences in treatment between men and women in society: “ A guy with dark circles and unshaven, he looks virile and handsome. A tired girl, we’ll immediately say: “She’s getting a bit old, that one!” ».

“I knew Pagny was coming back, that was the trigger”

If his arrival on the jury of “The Voice” allows him to return to the front of the stage, the interpreter of “My boyfriend” admits to having a long time “ hesitated » : « If they had come for me a few years ago, I would have said no because I have difficulty judging and I would not have been ready to speak on the air. It’s not an easy exercise. And then this year, when I knew that Pagny was coming back, that was the trigger. I feel close to him, he is from my generation, we have crossed paths often “. Aware that part of the public was not going to know her, Patricia Kaas asked herself the same questions but claims to have been “ relaxed » from the filming of the first blind auditions. What motivate her to release a new album? “ I’m in the studio from time to time trying things out, but I take my time. I need something to click, maybe it will be “The Voice” » she retorts.
