After seven years of collaboration, Benighted announces the departure of its long-time drummer, Kévin Paradis. The French Death Metal group made this news official via social networks, explaining that this decision was taken by mutual agreement due to divergent objectives.
A departure after seven years of collaboration
In a press release, Benighted explains that the difference in ambitions between Kévin Paradis and the rest of the group led to this separation. The group now wishes to recruit a full-time drummer, fast, precise and available to write a new page in its history.
Paradis, who recently collaborated with Ne Obliviscaris and auditioned for Archspire, expressed his understanding of the decision: “As soon as I joined Benighted, I explained that my goal was to make Music my only career, and they immediately explained that that was not their goal.”
Despite this separation, Paradis will continue to cover the group’s upcoming concerts to give them time to find a replacement.

The future of Kévin Paradis
Now a freelance drummer, Paradis is looking for new projects, with priority given to groups sharing his ambition to make music their main activity. He also remains available for studio collaborations or tours.
“My schedule for 2025 and beyond remains open to any opportunity. My priority is to join a band whose music I enjoy and with whom I would fit in as a musician and artist.”
