And it’s not over yet since Ed Sheeran will be playing extra time in the summer of 2025, with concerts in Lille and Marseille. This Sunday evening, the singer of “Bad Habits” ended the 2024 part of his tour with a concert in Larnaca, Cyprus. “Quite a journey so far”
Although he is extremely prolific, Ed Sheeran is not releasing an album of new tracks but a best-of, compiling 22 of his greatest hits including the huge hits “The A Team”, “Sing”, “Thinking Out Loud”, “Perfect”, “Shivers”, “Eyes Closed” and of course “Shape of You”, which has just passed the 4 billion streams mark on Spotify. In a letter addressed to his millions of fans, the singer assures that the “Mathematics” era will end ” for good » after the 2025 concert dates, in order to move to « the next series of symbols ». « We’ve been putting out these Mathematics albums for 15 years now and it’s been quite a journey so far. I wanted to do a collection of the songs I play on tour, but also just have all the great songs in one place for fans, or new fans. ” he says, adding that the physical editions of the best-of, available for pre-order, will contain voice notes where he will relate his memories of writing the songs or the tour.
