“These words are not mine”
« I’m right in it, right in the middle of recording. As soon as I leave you, I’m going back to the studio. We have to choose, I would like four songs and instrumentals ” noted Michel Polnareff in an interview with Parisian : « I took care of the texts, but we are in the middle of construction. The themes change all the time. Everything will be recorded at home and mixed in London by Tom Archer (Sam Smith, The Strokes, Tom Odell) “. On the other hand, don’t talk about retirement to the interpreter of “Letter to France”! Indeed, there is no question for him of a last album and a last tour, despite the indications in the press releases of his label. “ Ah good ! I never announced that. These words are not mine » protests Michel Polnareff, who sees himself continuing further: “ I hope this isn’t my final album. The printer made a mistake. The tour, the same, it’s the “behind”, not the last ».
Words which are hardly surprising since Michel Polnareff had refused any idea of retirement in “50 min inside” last year. “ This is non-negotiable! If you want, I have great moments of… We can call it latency, we can call it suddenly a disappearance. But it’s always momentary. What I like is to disappear to come back even stronger » confided the Admiral.
