Adam Warren, longtime lead singer of deathcore band Oceano, has announced his departure from the band following controversy surrounding their tour participation America’s Rejects Tour with Attila and Dealer.
A controversy that triggers radical decisions
Controversy erupts after Oceano’s tour announcement America’s Rejects Tour scheduled for 2025, alongside groups such as Attila and Dealer, marked by past accusations of abusive behavior. Although these allegations have been disputed, they have sparked an outcry among fans and others in the Metal community.
Adam Warren initially attempted to defend this decision, explaining that he was unaware of the other bands’ backgrounds when committing to the tour. In a statement released on November 20, he clarified: “I had no idea the extent of the accusations surrounding these groups. Oceano has been inactive for quite a while. I don’t spend my life on the internet and I just wasn’t informed.”
Faced with backlash, Warren made several drastic decisions:
- Oceano withdraws from the tour.
- The group will plan its last concerts in 2025.
- Adam Warren leaves Oceano to devote himself to a solo project, Adam On Earth.

A harsh criticism of the music industry
In a detailed statement, Adam Warren expressed his frustration with the music industry, which he considers to be a toxic environment: “The metal scene is full of duplicitous people who maintain a cult of personality at the expense of artistic integrity. I don’t want to be a part of it anymore.”
He also criticized fans for their aggressive reactions: “You will not make me look like a bad person because of the actions of other groups. Shame on everyone who tried to make a scapegoat of me.”
An end of chapter for Oceano
Adam Warren revealed that this controversy was not the only reason for his departure. According to him, the group was already considering ending its activities even before the release of their last album. “We had an album to release, but we were already close to finishing it. This experience just accelerated my decision.”
Warren also stressed that this choice would allow him to focus on establishing a healthier climate more conducive to creation as an independent artist, far from the “toxic actors” of the music industry.
