Kendji Girac and his difficulties expressing himself in French
And if Kendji Girac feared interviews so much, it's because the singer struggled to express himself in French. Accustomed to speaking in Catalan with those close to him, he did not master the language of Molière. “I was afraid to express myself, I made French mistakes, so it put pressure on me,” he confides to Éric Jean-Jean.
The singer therefore decided to take the bull by the horns and learn to master French. To achieve this, he did not hesitate to ask his friends how a particular word was said. Although he still admits to making mistakes today, both orally and in writing, the singer no longer fears speaking in front of the cameras. This subject being sensitive for him, he even agreed to play in the TV film Champion which deals precisely with illiteracy. A great proof of combativeness!
