GUEST RTL – “I’m starting to get tired”: after 60 years of career, Sylvie Vartan bows out

After 60 years of career, and as many years on stage, Sylvie Vartan is preparing to say goodbye through a series of concerts that she titled I bow out. She meets her audience from Friday November 8, 2024, at the Dôme de for three days, then at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, in January.

It was in the middle of rehearsal for her show that Sylvie Vartan spoke to RTL to discuss this final dance step with his audience, remained faithful throughout its 60 years.
“I've always been a little volcanic, and Now I'm starting to get tired. I tell myself that I can't continue like this, this crazy life, for 20 years. We're not getting any younger and anything can happen, says the artist who celebrated his 80th birthday last August. I have a lot more stage fright than when I started. First of all, when I started, I didn't think I would have a career. I remember very well someone saying to me, “Look, you start, but you'll see, you'll have a career that will last until you're 80.” I say, oh yes, anything, anything. And there I am.”

There will be strong, joyful moments, of love, of madness.

For his last scenes, Sylvie Vartan promises a show that resembles her. “Everyone realizes the extent to which this show is important to mefor all of us and for the public. It gives a much greater dimension, even much stronger. There will be strong, joyful moments, of love, of madness. There will be six magical moments that have marked my life and my career. It will be a bit like a musical comedy with films and images.”
