“I no longer need…”

Legendary rapper TI has announced his retirement from live performance after one final concert before ending his illustrious hip-hop career.

In an interview with Atlanta’s 96.1 The Beat and hosts Ferrari Simmons and BT, the star revealed that her upcoming performance at the station’s upcoming Jingle Ball festival will be her final farewell.

The rapper is headlining the December 19, 2024 show in Atlanta with Sexyy Red, T-Pain, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi, Khalid and Tinashe.

Thank you for giving me my last job because I don’t need the money anymore and I won’t play” the About The Money star, 44, said when he sat down with Young Dro, as reported by Billboard.

I don’t want to do it anymore. I don’t want people paying me to jump and sweat for their entertainment anymore”, he revealed of the radio station’s holiday concert.

Youg Dro (born D’Juan Montrel Hart) then joked about accepting shows that rapper TI (born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) turned down.

I’ll take over all of Tip’s shows while he won’t. I do them all”, said the 44-year-old rapper, who is signed to TI’s Grand Hustle Records, as everyone laughed.

When asked by Ferrari if he was going to “do” anything for another upcoming show, Tip replied: “Of course I’ll answer the phone and tell them I won’t play”.

Tip added that even as he prepares to retire, he will perform on stage again, but ultimately it will only be on his terms.

For now, rapper TI’s final concert will be on December 19 at 93.1 The Beat’s Jingle Ball in Atlanta, which will also feature Tinashe, Sexyy Red, T-Pain, Saweetie, Khalid and The Kid LAROI.

Last year, he announced that he would hang up his microphone for good after the release of his still pending 12th and final double album.

It’s time to evolve beyond my career as a rapper. It will be a double album so there will be Kill The King and Kiss The King”, he revealed on the We In Miami podcast in 2023.
