The arrival of Iron Maiden was already a huge blow, the management of the Eurockéennes decided to go even harder. Friday October 11, the festival announced on its social networks that the icons of English heavy metal would not be alone for the opening of the 35th edition of Eurocks, on July 3.
Indeed, two internationally known groups will join the party: the Swedes from Avatar and the English from The Raven Age. An XXL casting for a Thursday full metal. “It was important to us to offer a full day around metal and Iron Maiden” explains Hervé Casteran to France 3 Franche-Comté. “These are younger groups that our audience will be able to discover. We wanted and we will have a special opening day“.
Special in more than one way. We already knew that, unlike previous years where the headliner of the festival played on Sunday (closing), this year Iron Maiden will ignite the Malsaucy peninsula at the opening of the festival, on Thursday. But the main novelty is that in 2025, two stages will be open for this day full metal : the Grande Scène (as usual) and also the La Plage stage. A first.
The scene at La Plage has particular importance to us, with a lot of symbolism for us. The musical composition of the day’s event was enriched, so it made sense to also increase the scale of the show.

On a musical level, The Raven Age, a London heavy metal band, was founded by George Harris, son of Steve, of Iron Maiden. Father and son will therefore be reunited in the Territoire de Belfort. Both share a taste for “pachydermic riffs“, “between groove metal rhythms and metalcore energy” can we read on the Eurockéennes website.
Avatar is already a recognized band on the scene death metal. Led by their singer Johannes Eckerström, the five Swedes play disguised on stage, made up in the style of the Joker or Alice Cooper. “Here too, we find a certain logic” continues Hervé Casteran. “Avatar is the group that is supporting Iron Maiden throughout the month of July during their world tour. The Raven Age will accompany them in June for a date in Dublin. And we brought the three together for a day“.
One question remains unanswered: how and when will we be able to obtain the precious keys necessary to attend this memorable day? Simple answer: the ticket office will open Tuesday October 15 at 12 p.m., only on the Eurockéennes website. In terms of prices, the organization offers a price of 85 euros. “It may seem expensive“concludes Hervé Casteran. “But we are in the lower range of Iron Maiden ticket prices. And in the 85 euros, camping is included“.
The Eurocks organization warns that you will have to be quick to get your ticket. In fact, all Iron Maiden tour dates are often sold out within a few hours. Eurockéennes should be no exception to the rule. As a reminder, between 30,000 and 35,000 people will be able to attend this day of July 3 full metal.
Tickets for the other days of the festival (July 4, 5 and 6, 2025) will also be on sale this October 15, each at the price of 66 euros. In terms of passes, plan on 117 euros for two days (except Thursday), 155 for three days (except Thursday) and 219 euros for four days.
This year again, special rates are intended for students and people under 30: 49 euros for one day (excluding Thursday), 135 euros for three days). No artist is yet known. The first names should be released before 2025.
