Korn celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special show and prestigious guests

On October 5, Nu Metal pioneer Korn marked a historic moment in their career by celebrating their 30th anniversary at a special concert in Los Angeles, California. The band performed at BMO Stadium, a venue with a capacity of 22,000, providing a memorable event for their fans.

For the occasion, Korn was joined by several emblematic groups. French progressive death metal titans Gojira and Canadian alternative metallers Spiritbox, who accompany Korn on its current North American tour, were also part of the evening. Evanescence, Scars On Broadway (the side project of Daron Malakian of System Of A Down, doing his first show since 2019) and Vended were also there.

An exceptional performance with Amy Lee and rare titles

Although some fans may have hoped for the return of bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu or the complete interpretation of a cult album, Korn still had a few surprises in store. To close their set, the group invited Amy Lee, singer of Evanescence, to perform their flagship track Freak On A Leash, dating from 1998, in front of a delirious audience. He also performed Helmet In The Bush, a track from his multi-platinum self-titled debut album, for the first time live since 2015.

According to the spectators present, the setlist of the evening included the following songs:

  • Here To Stay
  • Dead Bodies Everywhere
  • Got The Life
  • A.D.I.D.A.S.
  • Coming Undone
  • Good God
  • Start The Healing
  • Somebody Someone
