“It’s not a phase, it’s a passion that will never disappear”; Sylosis surprises his fans with a new EP, The Path

The British Progressive thrash Metal group Sylosis has created a surprise by unveiling a new five-track EP, entitled The Path. This unexpected project, released on October 4, 2024, features tracks from the sessions for their latest album A Sign Of Things To Come. According to Josh Middleton, singer and guitarist of the group, it was difficult to choose the titles for the album, as they were so proud of all the material composed. They finally decided to release The Path, a collection of their favorite pieces from this creative period.

A statement from Josh Middleton

Josh Middleton spoke about this new EP, stating: “We’re so excited to finally be able to share The Path with you, which includes some of our best songs from this creative period – we hope you enjoy them!”

The eponymous track, The Path, is accompanied by a music video directed by Daniel Gray, featuring Debbie Gough, guitarist and singer of the group Heriot. In a statement about the song, Middleton said: “The Path is about my love and obsession with heavy music. That’s all I need. It’s not a phase, it’s a passion that will never go away.”
