The year 2024 will remain well marked in Eminem’s mind! Five months after marrying his daughter to her boyfriend Evan McClintock, the 51-year-old rapper revealed via a clip covering his hit Temporary the moment Hailie Jade Scott told him he would become a grandfather. In the video published yesterday, the singer shows a series of images of his daughter throughout her life, from her childhood to her marriage, until the announcement of her pregnancy.
The revelation comes towards the end of the clip, when the podcast host Just a little shadywhose title notably takes one of his father’s artist names, offers the rapper the photo of a pregnancy ultrasound and a jersey indicating “Grandpa” and the number 1 on the back. The singer, as we can see, waiting there, lets out his surprise and opens his mouth and eyes wide, as if in disbelief at the news.
Touching father-daughter moments
The video also includes touching footage of the father and his daughter dancing at her wedding. Hailie Jade announced her engagement last year in an Instagram post showing her partner, Evan McClintock, kneeling in front of her with an engagement ring. “Recap of the casual weekend of 2.4.23. I love you@evanmcclintock11,” she wrote in the post’s caption. A year later, last May, the young woman shared some images of her magical wedding. “We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weekend of celebration. We shed a lot of happy tears, we laughed, we smiled and we felt a lot of love,” she said on the social network at the time.
Baby due next year
According to TMZcolleagues and relatives of the rapper, such as 50 Cent and Dr Dre, were present among the guests. Yesterday, the young woman posted images on Instagram of her husband and her in front of their pregnancy ultrasound. “Mom and Dad, in 2025,” we can read in the caption.
Hailie Jade is the fruit of the union of Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, and Kimberley Scott. The former couple married and divorced twice, before splitting for good in 2007. Eminem is also the adoptive father of 31-year-old daughter Alaina, whose mother is the sister of his former partner Dawn Scott, and Stevie Laine, 22, Kimberly Scott’s second daughter from another relationship.
