After Madonna, Indochina ou Taylor Swift, Jenifer also wants to celebrate her career. On January 16, she will launch her new tour, the “Jukebox Tour,” in Elancourt (Yvelines). Each evening, the former winner of the “Star Academy” will perform her greatest hits and leave it to the public to decide the evening’s setlist! But before that, fans will be able to discover Jenifer’s new album on November 22, entitled “Jukebox 2002 – 2012”. And its concept is very simple: the artist decided to revisit the flagship titles of his first 10 years of career, such as “Au soleil”, “Ma revolution” or “J’attends l’amour”. “ I left “N°9” with a big miss. This best of idea was suggested to me. I had difficulty because I am already working on the sequel, which is very ambitious. So how is it going? Are we going to extract songs from all my albums and make a summary, without singing again, without re-recording? I didn’t want to do it like that » explained the singer during a listening session with the press.

“I also found it difficult to immerse myself in the past”
And a few weeks before the release of the project, Jenifer presents to the public a first extract. The singer, attentive to the public’s requests, focuses on one of the most beloved titles in her repertoire: “Tourner ma page”. 17 years after its initial release on the album “Lunatique”, the piece, which marked a musical shift for the singer, is now given a second life with an American-style re-orchestration, between tambourines and guitar for a result more folk-rock than usual. “ We recorded in live conditions, with excellent musicians, with old equipment. I sang once or twice. I also found it difficult to delve back into the past, into these emotions from before, to retrace my life a little. It wasn’t obviously psychological but quickly it went well because I had a lot of talent around me » attests Jenifer.
To present the album “Jukebox 2002 – 2012”, Jenifer performed a medley of his hits, alongside Stéphane, Marie-Flore and Jenn Ayache, during the show “Taratata celebrates the 40th anniversary of Bercy”. Recorded in mid-September, the prime will be broadcast on France 2 on October 25. Strongly!
