Angèle announces the release of “Nightcall” with Kavinsky and Phoenix, the hit of the 2024 Olympics

After turning the Olympic closing ceremony and all of TikTok (which became a fan of Angèle’s bob, walk and song) upside down, the Belgian singer’s song “Nightcall” featuring Kavinsky and Phoenix will soon be available everywhere. Good news: if you’re too impatient, you can listen to a sample by calling them on the phone: “We have something to tell you. Call us now at +1 (901) 673-5822.”

The song “Nightcall” performed by the Brussels artist is actually a new version of Kavinsky’s hit released in 2010. During the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, the song was performed in a tableau that represented a beautiful bridge between American cinema and our French-speaking talents, because it also made reference to the film’s soundtrack. Driveby Nicolas Winding Refn, as our journalist Donnia Ghezlane-Lala noted.

Beyond this song, other songs noted during the various Olympic Games ceremonies are expected by fans, starting with the surprising meeting between Aya Nakamura’s “Djadja” and Charles Aznavour’s “For Me… Formidable”, in a team with the National Guard. For its part, the song “Parade” by composer Victor Le Masne, the official anthem of these Paris 2024 Games, has been available on streaming platforms since September 13.
