Singer Thomas Dutronc lost his mother, Françoise Hardy, on June 11. He is about to release his new album, entitled It’s never too latethis Friday, September 13. In full promotion of this album, he is currently touring the sets.

This Monday, September 9, he was present on RTL Morningwhere he revealed whether Françoise Hardy had had time to listen to her new album.
“No, unfortunately. As she is very demanding and I am too, I would make her listen to my albums, only once they were finished because the mix is important, but even the mastering, sometimes it is important. Everything is important in a record, until the last minute. (…) I have close friends who appreciate it a lot and it touches me as if it was her who was listening to it.” he expressed.
He also took advantage of his time in the studio of RTL to reveal the advice his mother had given him.
“When I was a child, she advised me to do what I loved in life, so I managed to find something that I was passionate about and that I loved. I am really lucky in that respect, life is more beautiful with that, I have a passion for the guitar and then she always advised me to play, to sing, to work, to make songs, to work on my guitar.” he confided to Thomas Sotto and Amandine Bégot.
Jacques Dutronc’s son recalls his last moments with Françoise Hardy
Jacques Dutronc’s son also spoke about the last moments he shared with her.The day she left, we were lucky to spend some special moments. I took her hand, we smiled, we watched the Roland Garros final together and then on Monday evening, she was no longer there, she was sedated and I was told, she won’t make it through the night and in fact she did make it through the night” he remembered before recalling an important detail. “I also remember her laughter a lot, she has many songs, moving, nostalgic, but I mainly remember her laughter, her good humor and her extreme, immense tenderness.” he testified.
