Concord Records has announced the release of ''Livin' It Up Down In Texas'', a new track from Billy F Gibbons which was previewed earlier this month in an episode of the series Landman created by Taylor Sheridan and broadcast on Paramount+
The single was written by the founder and leader of ZZ TOP with the actors of Landman Billy Bob Thornton (Tommy Norris) et Mark Collie (Sheriff Walt Joeberg). Its release coincides with the start of a solo tour of Gibbons and his group THE BFGwhich includes Chris ”Whipper” Layton et Mike ”The Drifter” Flanigin.
''Livin' It up Down In Texas'', which can be heard in the episode of Landman entitled ''WolfCamp'', was produced by Gibbons at Level14 Studios in Nashville. It is planned that the recording will be part of an upcoming album which will be the fourth of Billy Gibbons solo for the Concord label which has already given birth to “Perfectamundo” (2015), “The Big Bad Blues” (2018) and “Hardware” (2021).
