DEATH – He died on the eve of the release of a “best of” celebrating his 40-year career. Singer Jean-Louis Murat, whose real name is Jean-Louis Bergheaud, died on Thursday May 25 at the age of 71, according to information from the regional media. The mountain confirmed by the artist’s manager at France Inter.
Originally from Puy-de-Dôme, Jean-Louis Murat began his career in music at the end of the 1970s when his rock band from Clermont was spotted by William Sheller to open for his concerts. During his career, Jean-Louis also made several forays into the cinema. He appeared in 1990 in the film A Woman’s Revenge by Jacques Doillon alongside Isabelle Huppert and Béatrice Dalle. And a few years later in miss nobody, also with Elodie Bouchez and Romain Duris. Starring in this film by Pascale Bailly, Jean-Louis Murat also composed the soundtrack.
